Document Arson Is The Life For Me

Where I work we have these large bins that you can put your 'classified' documents in to have them properly destroyed. The whole idea behind such a system is to prevent others reading material that contains secret information that is not longer needed.

I've made use of these bins on several occasions, and until recently, I had quite a bit of faith in the system. Then today happened.

So today, I'm cruising through the office on my way back from the vending machine and I notice a sign placed on top of one such bin that reads:

Employees have been placing material in this bin that is not classified in nature. In order to maintain costs associated with our private bin service, please only deposit documents that are classified in nature.

This begs the question, if the bins really are protected from the prying eyes of other people, how did they know that people had been disposing stuff that wasn't 'classified'. Idiots. Last time I put my stuff in one of those bins. From now on, I'm doing it the ol' fashion way; a bucket, some kerosene and a zippo in the back alley.
